Flexitricity recognised in Scottish innovation awards

The John Logie Baird Awards for innovation and design were created to recognise and celebrate innovation by encouraging the commercial exploitation of Scotland’s intellectual capital.  Flexitricity was shortlisted in the “Impact through Innovation” category in 2008.

Isabell Majewsky, Chief Executive of award organisers GO Group, said: “All of our finalists really impressed our judging panels, which saw pitches from hundreds of inventors and innovators. They all encompassed what the John Logie Baird Awards are all about – entrepreneurship, passion and dedication.”

The Flexitricity concept also resulted in a shortlist place in the prestigious 2008 Gannochy Trust Innovation Award of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.  This is Scotland’s highest accolade for individual achievement in innovation and was being created to encourage and reward Scotland’s young innovators for work which benefits Scotland’s wellbeing.
